Job Title: Business Continuity Officer
Location: Nigeria
Role Purpose
The Business Continuity Officer plays a key role in sustaining uninterrupted financial operations tied to intercompany transactions. This position is responsible for accurate record management, reconciliation activities, schedule preparation, audit support, and ensuring compliance with financial controls to maintain business continuity.
Key Responsibilities

Generate and analyze trial balances for precise intercompany interest computation.

Post journals related to intercompany cleanup payments to maintain accurate books.

Assist in developing annual intercompany interest schedules.

Prepare necessary documents and schedules to support intercompany audits.

Work closely with finance teams to ensure timely and precise reporting of intercompany activities.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, company financial policies, and regulatory standards.

Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to support continuity efforts.

Compute and post intercompany interest within the accounting system.

Reclassify reconciled intercompany balances to support accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Solid knowledge of intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and interest computation is an advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role.
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical ability to compute and validate financial data accurately.

Advanced understanding of intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data validation, financial modelling).

Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for journal entries, interest computation, and reclassification.
