Reports To: Sales Director / Commercial Director
Supervises: Regional HORECA Managers and Key Account Managers
Role Overview
The National Premium HORECA Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing nationwide strategies aimed at expanding the company's presence within the premium hospitality sector. The role focuses on driving sales growth, strengthening relationships with strategic accounts, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring sustainable business performance across hotels, restaurants, cafés, lounges, and other premium on-trade channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the premium HORECA business nationwide.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with major hospitality and on-trade partners.
- Lead, mentor, and manage regional HORECA teams to achieve business objectives.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage contracts with key hospitality partners.
- Drive brand visibility through activations, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Monitor sales performance and provide actionable business insights to senior management.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure optimal return on investment for commercial activities.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans.
- Monitor market developments, consumer trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
Key Challenges
- Managing high-value customer expectations across multiple regions.
- Navigating a highly competitive wines and spirits marketplace.
- Coordinating commercial activities and performance across different geographic locations.
- Maintaining consistent brand execution and service standards nationwide.
Planning and Performance Cycle
- Strategic Planning: Annual business planning and execution.
- Operational Planning: Monthly performance reviews and action plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline.
- An MBA or other postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Previous experience in the wines and spirits industry is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience managing HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés) accounts and channels.
- Strong track record of delivering commercial growth and managing key customer relationships.
