Anthropic Claude Campus Ambassador Program 2026

Applications are open for the 2026 Claude Campus Ambassador Program, an initiative by Anthropic that gives students and researchers the opportunity to promote AI learning, experimentation and research within their university communities.

The program is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in helping other students and researchers explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence.

Successful applicants will receive a US$3,600 stipend, Anthropic API credits, opportunities to interact with Anthropic guest speakers and membership in a global community of campus ambassadors.

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis, so candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

Program Duration

The Claude Campus Ambassador Program will run for the 2026–2027 academic year, from September 2026 through June 2027.

What Is the Claude Campus Ambassador Program?

The program is designed for students and researchers who want to take an active role in developing AI communities at their universities.

Campus ambassadors will organize activities that help their peers understand artificial intelligence, experiment with AI tools, develop practical skills and engage in meaningful conversations about the impact of AI on education, society and research.

There are three main areas of participation:

  • Claude Builder Clubs – for students interested in building and experimenting with AI.
  • Campus Conversations – for graduate students interested in discussions around AI and society.
  • Science Workshops – for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers using AI in scientific and academic research.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • The program is open to students and researchers from anywhere in the world.
  • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
  • Participants must have work authorization in their country of study.
  • The graduate and PhD components may initially be limited to students and researchers from a smaller group of universities as part of the pilot phase.

Opportunities for Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students who are enthusiastic about helping their peers develop AI skills can apply to lead a Claude Builder Club.

As a Builder Club ambassador, you may:

  • Work with Anthropic to establish and lead an AI-focused student club.
  • Organize technical and non-technical AI workshops.
  • Coordinate hackathons, demonstrations and other activities for student builders.
  • Share AI resources, practical tips and opportunities with club members.
  • Take advantage of Anthropic API credits for experimentation and projects.
  • Participate in the wider ambassador community.
  • Receive a US$3,600 stipend.

Opportunities for Graduate Students

Master's students from STEM and humanities disciplines who are interested in the responsible and positive use of AI can apply to lead Claude Campus Conversations.

Participants may:

  • Organize discussions and events about important questions surrounding AI and society.
  • Create opportunities for students to improve their AI literacy.
  • Encourage students to demonstrate and discuss projects they have developed using Claude.
  • Connect with other ambassadors through the global ambassador community.
  • Have opportunities to visit Anthropic's office and engage with members of the organization.
  • Receive a US$3,600 stipend.

Opportunities for PhD Students and Postdocs

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers who use AI in their research can apply to lead Claude Science Workshops.

Their activities may include:

  • Building communities for AI-focused researchers at their universities.
  • Organizing Claude for Science workshops.
  • Participating in events featuring members of Anthropic's mathematics and science teams.
  • Exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming different areas of scientific research.
  • Collaborating with Anthropic scientists through workshops and research-focused activities.
  • Receiving a US$3,600 stipend.

Program Benefits

Selected ambassadors will have access to several benefits designed to support their campus activities and professional development.

US$3,600 Stipend

Every selected campus ambassador will receive a US$3,600 cash stipend, subject to the terms and conditions of the program.

Anthropic API Credits

Ambassadors will receive Anthropic API credits, which can be used to experiment with AI and support projects, workshops and other activities involving Claude.

Access to Guest Speakers

Participants may have opportunities to host or engage with Anthropic guest speakers, giving university communities the chance to hear from professionals working in artificial intelligence.

Global Ambassador Network

Selected participants will join a global community of Claude campus ambassadors. This network provides opportunities to connect with other students and researchers leading AI initiatives at universities around the world.

What Will Campus Ambassadors Do?

The exact activities will depend on the ambassador track, but participants will generally be expected to take initiative in building AI-focused communities within their universities.

Claude Builder Clubs

Builder Clubs give students a practical environment to learn about AI, experiment with Claude and develop projects. Ambassadors can organize workshops, hackathons, demonstrations and other hands-on activities.

Campus Conversations

Campus Conversations provide a forum for students to discuss artificial intelligence and its broader effects on education, society and everyday life. Ambassadors can facilitate discussions, events and opportunities for students to share their experiences with AI.

Science Workshops

Science Workshops are aimed at researchers interested in applying AI to scientific and academic work. Ambassadors can organize workshops and connect researchers with emerging AI tools and ideas relevant to their fields.

Interested students and researchers should submit their applications before the September 12, 2026 deadline. Because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, early application is recommended.
