The offer is scheduled to remain open until October 13, 2026, subject to the terms, conditions and requirements contained in the offer prospectus.
Dangote Describes Offer as a "People's IPO"
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Aliko Dangote described the share offer as an opportunity to broaden public participation in companies within the Dangote Group.
He referred to the transaction as the "People's IPO", stressing that the initiative goes beyond the refinery itself and forms part of a wider plan to increase public ownership.
Dangote also revealed that the Dangote Group intends to pursue additional listings of its operating companies on the Nigerian Exchange.
According to him, Nigeria and Africa will remain the group's base as it expands, with the possibility of pursuing listings on international exchanges in the future.
Historic Moment for the Nigerian Stock Market
The transaction represents a significant development for Nigeria's capital market, as it marks the first time a refinery is being offered to investors through the Nigerian stock market in the 66-year history of the NGX.
Through the public offer, eligible investors will have an opportunity to acquire an equity interest in the Dangote Refinery, which is located within the Lekki Free Zone in Lagos.
The refinery has become a major component of Nigeria's efforts to increase domestic petroleum refining capacity and reduce the country's dependence on imported refined petroleum products.

The launch ceremony attracted prominent figures from Nigeria's political, business and financial sectors.
Among those present were Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Nigerian Exchange Group President and Chairman Umaru Kwairanga, Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Zenith Bank founder Jim Ovia, alongside other leading figures from the business and capital market communities.
