IITA Graduate Internship 2026 for Young Nigerians

 Applications are currently open for the 2026 Graduate Internship opportunity at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).

IITA is an international agricultural research-for-development organization that works to improve food security, employment opportunities, and sustainable agricultural development across the tropics. The institute is part of the CGIAR research partnership.

The internship provides an opportunity for a qualified graduate to gain practical experience while supporting the activities of the People and Culture Directorate.

Internship Responsibilities

The selected intern will provide administrative and operational assistance to the Director and the leadership team. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the coordination of meetings, schedules, and other activities involving the Directorate.
• Assisting with reports, documentation, and administrative tasks.
• Helping coordinate communications and stakeholder engagements.
• Supporting the leadership team with day-to-day operational activities.
• Working with colleagues and other units to ensure activities are properly coordinated.
• Managing multiple assignments and deadlines as required.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields or a closely related discipline:

• Human Resources Management
• Business Administration
• Public Administration
• Social Sciences
• Organizational Psychology
• Other relevant disciplines

Preferred Experience

Candidates should ideally have experience or demonstrated ability in areas such as:

• Managing schedules, meetings, and administrative activities.
• Preparing reports and handling documentation.
• Coordinating several tasks, priorities, and deadlines at the same time.
• Supporting stakeholder interactions and professional communications.

Reporting Structure

The intern will work under the Director, People and Culture, while also collaborating with other members and units within the Directorate.
