Job Description

  • As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer.
  • He/She will provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.

Responsibilities
As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing in autonomy the Installation and/or Maintenance activities on LT-16 gas Turbined, PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001, and other Rotating equipment in the Field at Customer Site.
  • Performing minor/major maintenance of equipment following the Baker Hughes Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
  • Providing Technical supervision and advisory service to the Customer Representatives and Site Team to coordinate activities at the Customer Job Site.
  • Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Baker Hughes Service applicable processes and procedures.
  • Providing expert troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the Field.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality and Compliance).
  • Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.

Fuel Your Passion
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Have a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (please indicate clearly on resume)
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience mainly specialized in PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001.
  • Capable of carrying out the following activities without supervision:
  • Installation activities on HDGT FR 5 – 7 and LT-16 GT.
  • Minor Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
  • Hot Gas Path Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
  • Major Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
  • Commissioning activities on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
  • Be able to provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
  • Must have Excellent Functional / Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team working Skills.
  • Capable to work offshore.
  • Be able to travel flexibly, at short notice and be away from your home location for undefined periods of time up to 70%.
