We are looking for Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese <> English and vice versa remote medical interpreters who want to join an international company. Over-the-Phone (OPI) and Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) Interpreters at MIT Center. Who will play a vital role in ensuring effective communication between patients and healthcare providers. In this rewarding position, you will serve as a bridge, facilitating understanding and enabling patients to receive the care they need. It is essential that the candidate can understand and interpret a variety of medical-related terminology and be knowledgeable about various medical processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Answer calls in a professional manner, acting according to the Interpreter’s code of conduct, HIPAA and FWA.
- Be always prepared to take notes during a call.
- Be aware of the specific vocabulary of the industry the interpreter works with (healthcare and medical one, specifically).
- Participate in our free online professional training.
- Communicate and report to your team leader.
- Provide accurate and impartial interpretation services during medical consultations, medical terminology, procedures, instructions, information between Mandarin Chinese or Cantonese speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare professionals and other healthcare interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions
- Participate in workshops and coaching opportunities to enhance your interpreting skills.
