Job Title: Marketing & Communications Manager

Job Purpose
- To provide marketing support to the sales teams.
Job Objectives

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Omnichannel Animation:
- In liaison with Sales Managers, animate the different sales channels in the area (Professional – Retail – DIY – focus on E-commerce opportunities)
- Define and roll out the MarCom plan, especially on Digital (MS, website, newsletters, etc.)
- Validation of communication means. Promotion roadmap. POS Animation. Digitalization.
- Pilot the relation with local Communication & PR companies to localize the communication means
- Develop Legrand Group Brand presence
- Draft and distribute product information across the area
- Participate in the Sales action plans and budget processes for the sectors under his/her responsibility
Market Intelligence:
- Roll out the marketing strategy across the area and locally, in accordance with Group strategy.
- Define and consolidate market tracking indicators: Market evolution (size trends) Market segmentation, analysis of business opportunities, competitive landscape analysis, Pricing strategy, 4P analysis. All information gathered in group files (LRP) –
- Identify & validate priorities in the zone (best opportunity countries, ranges, products) Improve the reporting process (Sales follow up, Budget presentation)
- Perform competitor analysis and comparisons in terms of products, prices and lead times
- With the help of SBU marketing, identify new product requirements by gathering, analysing and consolidating country/customer demand. Control that they are taken into account by R&D.
- Analyse customer dissatisfactions and needs with regard to existing products
- Take part in drafting Marketing specifications. Active participation in SBU validation process
- Specific focus on group Faster Expending Segments (Greenamics, Datacenter, IOT
- Build countries marketing roadmap
- Take part in strategic project steering committees in a specialist capacity
- Management of product portfolio
- Define the offer outline and organise the launching of product & service ranges in the area. Adaptation to targets. Definition of promotional means. Promotion deployment to generate business
Digitalization:
- E.Commerce: Help customers in developing their marketplaces. Promote our tools.
- Web factory: In liaison with the digital team, accelerate the development of countries dedicated websites. Define deployment priorities between countries. Define Websites architectures & content.
- SEO SEM: Animate Local Website to maintain the best ranking
- Participate to E.cat deployment into countries website (Product perimeter, upsell – crossell)
- Social Media. Participate to Countries editorial line (content studio or local communication department). Adapt editorial line & messages to the different Social Media. Identify best digital media to reach our customers. Animate digital promotion.
Pricing Strategy:
- Determine pricing strategy in terms of product/price positioning in relation to market segments and competitors
- Establish annual selling price scales. With the help of the pricing manager, build and broadcast a price list (1 to 2x / year) Price consistency between Channels / customers / countries (Crossboarding monitoring)
Profitability follow-up:
- KPI : Validate performance targets. Build measurement tool. Define reporting process to area management.
- Ensure monthly updating of annual sales forecasts and act as interface for logistics.
Educational background / Person Specification
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields
- Business school – Specialization in Marketing
- Professional background: 3+ years Experience in marketing, B2B is a plus
- Languages : Fluency in English is a must – French is a plus
- Location : Based in Lagos, Nigeria – covering both Nigeria & Ghana (Gulf of Guinea zone)
- The target profiles are potential marketers (could be as young as 3 years of experience and more) to grow our business further
- The ideal profiles should have B2B marketing/Communication experience.
Compensation
Compensation range for this role:
- Annual fixed compensation: N13,000,000 – N16,000000
- Annual Target bonus of 15%: N1,950,000 – N2,400,000
- Total Gross compensation:14.95 M – 18.4 M NGN
Bonus:
- 15% Target bonus upon reaching 100% objectives, could go higher for overachievement up to 30%.
