Job Title: IT Support Assistant
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
We seek a skilled IT Support Assistant to help maintain our technology environment. The ideal candidate will assist with diagnosing, resolving, and preventing software, hardware, connectivity, and system-related issues. This individual will handle system setups, perform installations and upgrades, provide user support remotely and in person, and ensure smooth IT operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Provide timely support to users and respond to system-related requests and emergencies.

Monitor computers and network systems to identify errors, faults, or performance issues.

Install, configure, update, and maintain software applications and operating systems (e.g., antivirus, MS Office).

Set up and repair IT hardware such as laptops, printers, servers, and other peripherals.

Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and internet connectivity problems across platforms (chat, phone, or onsite).

Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers on IT asset repairs and maintenance.

Generate diagnostic reports, update logs, and recommend effective solutions based on assessment findings.

Train staff on proper handling, operation, and maintenance of computer systems.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.

Maintain and manage office network connectivity, including adding/removing users, tracking downtime, and escalating issues with service providers when necessary.

Deploy scalable and cost-efficient software solutions for internal use.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT support or similar technical role.

Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting (laptops, printers, etc.)

Solid skills in software diagnostics and support.

Experience with Raspberry Pi administration and maintenance.

Office 365 management experience.
-
Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and Active Directory.

Network management and troubleshooting capability.
-
Understanding of requirements for various applications and enterprise software.
