Job Title: Junior Collections Officer

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a results-driven Junior Collections Officer to join our Collections team. T
  • his role focuses on handling high-risk accounts, ensuring timely debt recovery, and maximizing collections efficiency.
  • You will play a critical role in protecting Carbon’s portfolio quality while delivering excellent customer experience in challenging recovery situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage interactions with high-risk and difficult customers, ensuring professional and effective resolution.
  • Analyze collection trends and propose strategies to improve the recovery rate.
  • Monitor daily collections activities, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve disputes or operational issues affecting collections.
  • Ensure prompt debiting of delinquent accounts to facilitate timely recovery.
  • Provide coaching, support, and direction to junior collectors to strengthen the overall collection effort.
  • Make outbound calls to delinquent customers to negotiate and facilitate repayment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and spot trends.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in collections, preferably in fintech, banking, or other financial services sectors.
  • Proven track record in managing high-risk accounts and achieving recovery targets.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
