Salary: $7,317.84 annually (based on a 48-hour work week)

Position Summary

The Consulate General Residence (CGR) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Vegetarian Chef to join its culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about vegetarian and vegan cuisine, capable of preparing healthy, balanced, and appealing meals that meet high standards of taste and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve vegetarian and/or vegan meals for the Consulate General Residence.

  • Develop diverse, nutritious, and flavorful menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and international influences.

  • Ensure high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and presentation.

  • Manage inventory, food supplies, and kitchen organization.

  • Work collaboratively with other household or kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef, cook, or kitchen assistant (experience in vegetarian or vegan cookery is an advantage).

  • Strong understanding of vegetarian and vegan meal preparation—or willingness and ability to learn rapidly with study.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain discretion in a professional household environment.
