We are seeking applicants for the role below:

Job Title: Experienced Room Steward

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • In the role of Room Steward, you will uphold the utmost levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation across guest rooms, suites, and common spaces.
  • Your meticulous attention to detail, organizational prowess, and dedication to superior quality will create memorable impressions for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and upkeep guest rooms, suites, and public spaces to exemplary levels.
  • Perform turndown services and ready rooms for incoming guests.
  • Safeguard the privacy and security of guest details.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office personnel.
  • Maintain spotless sanitation and hygiene in bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces.
  • Replenish linens, toiletries, and other essentials.
  • Notify supervisors of repair needs, damages, and any lost or discovered items.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Capacity to handle varied shifts, encompassing evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical endurance for lifting, pushing, and maneuvering heavy carts and tools.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • 1 - 2 years of prior housekeeping background in a high-end hotel setting.
  • Certification in housekeeping or hospitality fields (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior familiarity with hotel management software.
  • Awareness of industry norms and optimal practices in hospitality.
  • Certification related to infection prevention, hygiene, or environmental stewardship.
