 Egbin Power Plc. Lagos is one of the biggest additions to the electricity industry in Nigeria. Often seen as the biggest single generating power station in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was built to meet the every rising demand for electricity in Lagos and its environs.

Following the nation’s privatization exercise, Sahara, through its power division, Sahara Power Group and sundry affiliations, acquired the 1320 MW installed capacity Egbin Power Plant. We are working towards deploying a minimum of 5,000 MW of electricity generation over the next five years.

Job Description

  • We are excited to welcome a talented professional to join our Support Services team as the Facility and Administrative Manager.
  • This role is pivotal in maintaining our company's efficiency and overall performance.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing a range of critical administrative and facility-related tasks, ensuring a seamless and productive work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and upkeep, prioritizing safety and functionality.
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and training.
  • Develop cost-effective strategies to optimize facility operations and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with departments for smooth integration of facility initiatives and projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, implementing innovative solutions for facility management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing their facility needs.
  • Supervise procurement and inventory management of office supplies and equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate company events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility data, including maintenance logs and incident reports.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management or a related field is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry advancements.
  • A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel for work purposes as needed.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and efficient time management.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office applications is a must.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset for problem-solving and innovation.
