About the Role: The OSS Architect & Integrator

Location: Abuja

As a Specialist, Systems and Solutions, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining the systems that keep our network running flawlessly. You'll work directly with our network partners to ensure our OSS infrastructure is robust, insightful, and future-proof.

Key Focus Areas:

  • OSS Evolution: Drive the strategy and evolution of our Operations Support Systems in the Technical unit.

  • Real-Time Insight: Further develop and support various OSSs and solutions to provide instant, actionable network data.

  • End-to-End Support: Provide comprehensive support and maintenance for a range of critical OSSs and solutions.

Core Responsibilities: Building & Maintaining the Future

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on development, integration, and strategic planning:

  • System Integration: Support the integration of new Element Management Systems (EMSs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into the Technical NQoSS Umbrella Network Management System (NMS).

  • Feature Development: Enhance the features and capabilities of the Technical NQoSS Umbrella NMS.

  • Portal & App Development: Design, develop, and maintain the EMTS NQoSS Portal and mobile application.

  • Roadmap & Documentation: Develop and maintain the EMTS OSS Road Map and the Technical OSS Database (including architecture and inventory).

  • Monitoring & Support: Monitor and provide high-level support for the NQoSS Server and its services.

  • Development Environment: Maintain and develop the dedicated System and Solutions Development Environment.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Support the creation of various NQoSS Reporting and Analytics dashboards.

  • Research & Strategy: Conduct research and provide quarterly reports on emerging OSS trends, technologies, and developments.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a highly capable individual with a passion for technology and operational excellence.

  • Education: A First Degree in Information Technology (or related field). A relevant Postgraduate degree is an added advantage.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive work experience.

  • Certifications: Candidates must possess at least two professional certifications (e.g., Java, RDMS, OSS, BI, Data Science, Project Mgt, SQL, etc.).

🛠️ Required Technical & Soft Capabilities

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Solid understanding of mobile network architecture, design, and technologies (including standards and specifications).

  • User-level experience in at least one Business Intelligence (BI) solution for reporting and analytics.

  • Familiarity with XML APIs / Web services (SOAP or RESTful).

  • Experience in administering carrier-grade servers; proficiency in Unix is a strong advantage.

  • Some experience with a Project Management Methodology (Prince2, PMP, Agile).

  • Experience in software design and development using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

  • User-level proficiency in SQL and at least one Relational Database Management System (RDMS).

  • Experience across NMS functions (Operations support, performance, fault/troubleshooting, monitoring, optimization, configuration, and protocols).
