The Opportunity: Storekeeper (Offshore Vessels)
We are looking for a Storekeeper to take charge of the vital supply chain functions across our diverse fleet of offshore vessels. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Location: Nigeria (Various Offshore Vessels) Employment Basis: Fixed-term contract until December 31, 2025 (with potential for extension based on company needs).
Your Mission
To manage and safeguard the entire lifecycle of consumable materials and spare parts—from request and reception to secure storage, preservation, and final distribution. You will ensure strict adherence to Saipem’s corporate procedures, quality standards, and, most importantly, safety regulations in a demanding offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities (Your Impact)
As a Storekeeper, you will be the backbone of material management by:
Procurement Support: Initiating material requests for stores or projects, ensuring all authorization procedures are rigorously followed.
Receiving & Inspection: Coordinating the receipt of materials and equipment, meticulously checking against orders, and promptly reporting any discrepancies or damage.
Logistics & Shipping: Managing the preparation, packing, and accurate documentation (packing lists) for all outgoing material shipments.
Inventory Control: Leading periodic inventory counts, analyzing goods in transit, and identifying slow-moving items in partnership with corporate departments.
Storage & Preservation: Ensuring materials are stored and preserved correctly in designated facilities to maintain their quality and integrity.
Distribution: Overseeing the smooth and safe movement (upload and download) and distribution of materials to the vessel team as required.
Coordination & Reporting: Maintaining consistent, clear communication and reporting channels with vessel management and relevant corporate teams.
System Integrity: Supporting the proper codification and classification of warehouse materials and equipment codes.
Safety Compliance: Executing all tasks in accordance with mandatory offshore safety critical requirements detailed in onboard documentation.
What You Bring
Education: A Master's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience as a Storekeeper within an offshore work site environment is essential.
Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Mindset: A strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance.
