Job Title: Quality Assurance Team Lead (Preform)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Assurance Team Lead – Preforms to join our Manufacturing Team.
• This role is critical in ensuring the consistent quality of preforms used in our beverage production processes.
• The Quality Assurance Team Lead – Preforms will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities related to preform production.
• The role ensures adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal specifications, while driving continuous improvement within the preform manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Assurance:

• Lead and supervise QA activities within the preform production line.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and sampling of preforms to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, GHK, HACCP, ISO standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve technical specifications for raw materials and finished preforms.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including quality reports, deviation logs, test records, and compliance trackers.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly QA performance reports.
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Audit & Compliance:

• Lead internal quality audits in the preform production area.
• Support external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Drive compliance with food safety, quality standards, and operational excellence requirements.

Process Monitoring & Improvement:

• Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and product quality to ensure consistency.
• Identify quality gaps, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Supervise QA inspectors and coordinate daily testing operations.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ensure team members follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in ISO-certified environments and familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and GHK standards.
• Experience supervising a QA/QC team.
• Minimum of 4–6 years experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within manufacturing (preferably plastics, PET preforms, or FMCG).
• Strong understanding of preform production processes, PET polymer behavior, and injection molding technology.
