The Mission: Architecting a High-Performance Culture
As our Talent Development Manager, based in Ikeja, Lagos, you won't just run training sessions; you'll be the chief architect of our learning culture. You will design, implement, and oversee high-impact learning initiatives that directly boost workforce capability, sharpen employee performance, and secure our leadership pipeline for future expansion.
This is an end-to-end learning lifecycle role for a professional who thrives on turning strategic insights into tangible employee growth.
Key Impact Areas & Responsibilities
1. Learning Strategy & Innovation
Identify Gaps: Partner closely with HR and business leaders to conduct incisive skill gap analysis and identify crucial learning needs.
Design Interventions: Conceptualize and manage targeted, high-value development programs, including bespoke curricula for leadership, technical, and soft skills.
Drive Modern Learning: Champion innovative, blended learning approaches (e-learning, microlearning, gamification, virtual) to ensure engaging and scalable delivery.
2. Program Execution & Leadership
Facilitation & Coordination: Facilitate engaging in-house workshops and expertly manage external vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective program delivery.
Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a small team of training officers/administrators, ensuring smooth and efficient program rollout.
Integration: Support the accelerated integration of new hires through engaging onboarding and orientation programs.
3. Talent & Succession Management
Pipeline Building: Drive strategic succession planning and career development frameworks to build a robust leadership pipeline.
Performance Alignment: Ensure learning initiatives are directly linked to performance management outcomes, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement.
Mentorship: Oversee and enhance mentoring and coaching programs across all business units.
4. Measurement & Governance
Strategic Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of all programs using key metrics like Training ROI, employee performance improvement, and platform adoption.
Compliance: Ensure all mandatory regulatory training (e.g., Compliance, Data Privacy) is seamlessly delivered and tracked.
What You'll Bring to the Table
Background & Expertise
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPD, ATD, SHRM-CP) is a strong advantage.
Experience: 5–7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Learning & Development or Talent Management, ideally within a fintech, banking, or hyper-growth organizational setting.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in designing, implementing, and evaluating large-scale training and development initiatives.
Essential Skills & Competencies
Exceptional Facilitation: Outstanding presentation, training, and coaching skills that command a room and drive engagement.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to transition seamlessly from strategic planning to tactical, high-quality execution.
Digital Learning Acumen: Strong knowledge of LMS systems, e-learning platforms, and modern digital learning tools.
Stakeholder Management: Superior communication and collaboration skills to advise and influence leaders across all levels.
Data-Driven: An analytical mindset focused on measuring impact and calculating the return on investment (ROI) of learning initiatives.
