Your Mission – Turn Invoices into Impact

Step into the financial engine room of multi-billion-naira projects! As Junior Account Manager – Receivables, you’ll own the complete cycle of customer invoicing, credit control and cash collection for some of Africa’s largest construction contracts. This is high-stakes finance where every million recovered keeps cranes turning and projects soaring.

You’ll collaborate daily with Project Managers, Commercial Teams, Legal and Top Management while sharpening your negotiation muscles with blue-chip clients and government bodies.

What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Prepare and issue accurate interim & final invoices (including variations & claims) worth hundreds of millions
  • Aggressively follow up overdue payments with phone calls, site visits and formal reminders
  • Reconcile client accounts and resolve disputes lightning-fast
  • Monitor payment certificates, retention releases and bank guarantees
  • Analyse ageing reports and propose smart collection strategies
  • Support cash-flow forecasting so projects never run out of fuel
  • Maintain spotless documentation for audits and tax purposes
  • Continuously improve invoicing processes and credit policies

Who We’re Looking For

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration (minimum Second Class Upper)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Project Accounting (construction or oil & gas experience is a big plus)
  • Rock-solid Excel skills + familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is golden)
  • Sharp analytical mind that spots discrepancies from a mile away
  • Confident communicator who can chase MDs and Permanent Secretaries without blinking
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) – you’ll be drafting board-level reports
  • High integrity, resilience under pressure – construction cashflow can be a rollercoaster!
