 Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, formerly Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike, was established as a specialized University by the Federal Government of Nigeria via Act No 48 of 2nd November 1992. It began formal activities in May 1993 with the appointment of the first Governing Council and Vice- Chancellor. The Institution is located in the well-known Agricultural Training and Research town of Umudike, about 9 kilometres from Umuahia town, the capital of Abia State. The major link road to the University is the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene Federal Road, a direct route to the State Capitals of Abia, Akwa-lbom and Cross River States. Being close to Umuahia, the University is linked through a major North-South Express Road to most parts of the country.

Ph.D. with 9 years teaching/research experience, plus NYSC evidence.

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05):
Ph.D. with at least 6 years university teaching experience and adequate publications.

Lecturer I (CONUASS 04):
Ph.D. with at least 3 years teaching experience and publications.

Lecturer II (CONUASS 03):
Ph.D. in relevant discipline.

Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02):
Master’s degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower) Bachelor’s degree.

possessing minimum of Second Class Honours Lower Division (22) degree from a
recognized University in any of the disciplines of Social Sciences, Law and
Humanities plus NYSC discharge certificate. Candidate must be computer literate.

4. ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (CONTISS 08)꞉ By direct appointment of a candidate with
minimum of Second Class Honours Lower Division (22) and a relevant Master's
degree from a recognized University in any of the disciplines either in Social
Sciences, Law and Humanities plus NYSC discharge certificate. Candidate must be
computer literate.

possessing HND in relevant field plus evidence of NYSC Discharge/Exemption

possessing a Degree in Accountancy from a recognized University/Institution of
higher learning plus at least 3 years cognate working experience plus NYSC

possessing a Degree in Accountancy from a recognized University/Institution of
higher learning plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption certificate.

appointment of a candidate possessing OND/NCE in the relevant field.

Science from a recognized Institution plus evidence of NYSC Discharge/Exemption
Certificate.

candidate possessing a good B. Sc. Degree or HND in Computer Science/Information
Technology with 3 years cognate experience in system analysis and Data Processing
with plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

candidate possessing a good B. Sc. Degree or HND in Computer Science/Information
Technology with plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

M.B.B.S and completion of one (1) year Housemanship plus full registration by the
Nigeria Medical Council. Candidate must show evidence of completion of the NYSC
programme.

14. SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICER (CONMESS 03)꞉ By direct appointment of a candidate
possessing M.B.B.S with evidence of completion of one (1) year Housemanship plus
full registration by the Nigeria Medical Council and 3 years cognate experience.

a degree in Physiotherapy, plus full registration with Medical Rehabilitation
Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB) and evidence of NYSC

degree in Physiotherapy, plus full registration MRTB plus 3 years post registration
cognate experience and demonstration in ICT proficiency plus evidence of NYSC
Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

17. RADIOGRAPHY/IMAGE SCIENTIST (CONHESS 09)꞉ By direct appointment of a
candidate possessing a degree in Radiography with evidence of completion of
NYSC, plus registration with Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria – RRBN.
