Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Human Resource Consulting Officer who will provide HR advisory support to client organisations, drive talent-related projects, and contribute to building effective people management frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with leadership teams to enhance workforce performance, strengthen HR systems, and support strategic organisational growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Offer professional HR advisory services to management on recruitment, employee relations, and organisational development.

Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.

Ensure organisational compliance with labour legislation and regulatory requirements.

Manage end-to-end recruitment: job advertisements, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.

Develop competency models and comprehensive job descriptions.

Support workforce planning and talent acquisition activities.

Implement KPI-based performance management frameworks and appraisal systems.

Guide supervisors through performance review processes and improvement planning.

Conduct skills gap assessments and develop annual training programs.

Design and deliver workshops, learning sessions, and development initiatives.

Evaluate the impact of training programs and provide recommendations.

Manage employee grievances and support disciplinary processes.

Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a healthy work environment.

Document and maintain accurate HR records and analytics.

Prepare HR reports to support decision-making at management level.

Safeguard employee information and ensure confidentiality.

Conduct HR audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years of practical HR experience, preferably in a consulting environment.

Strong academic background (minimum of a 2:1; postgraduate degree or professional qualifications such as CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM will be an added advantage).

Solid understanding of Nigerian labour laws, HR trends, and industry best practices.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in creating HR reports, documentation, and talent frameworks.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
