Role Overview

Nestoil Plc is seeking a qualified and experienced Base Nurse to join its medical team. The successful candidate will support the Senior Nurse in ensuring efficient clinic operations and delivering high-quality healthcare services to personnel across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and professional nursing care in line with best practices.

  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards within the clinic.

  • Coordinate daily patient care, including registration, assessment, and follow-up.

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the doctor.

  • Document and update patient attendance, medical records, and treatment reports.

  • Administer medications, dress wounds, treat minor injuries, and remove sutures.

  • Operate and maintain medical equipment such as suction machines, oxygen delivery systems, and AEDs.

  • Participate in company-wide health surveillance and wellness programs.

  • Offer medical advice and health education to employees on-site.

  • Ensure the clinic remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.

  • Monitor and report changes in patient conditions.

  • Manage proper segregation and disposal of medical waste from project sites.

  • Ensure strict adherence to QHSE policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science (BNSC), with valid registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas sector.

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing care, drug administration, and medical equipment use.

  • Excellent emergency response and triage skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, leadership ability, and teamwork mindset.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural awareness skills.

  • Ability to uphold infection control protocols and promote health education.

  • Competence in computer use and documentation management.

  • Commitment to delivering client-focused healthcare services.

  • Knowledge of QHSE policies and compliance requirements.
