Role Overview
Nestoil Plc is seeking a qualified and experienced Base Nurse to join its medical team. The successful candidate will support the Senior Nurse in ensuring efficient clinic operations and delivering high-quality healthcare services to personnel across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Provide timely and professional nursing care in line with best practices.

Maintain infection prevention and control standards within the clinic.

Coordinate daily patient care, including registration, assessment, and follow-up.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the doctor.

Document and update patient attendance, medical records, and treatment reports.

Administer medications, dress wounds, treat minor injuries, and remove sutures.

Operate and maintain medical equipment such as suction machines, oxygen delivery systems, and AEDs.

Participate in company-wide health surveillance and wellness programs.

Offer medical advice and health education to employees on-site.

Ensure the clinic remains clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Monitor and report changes in patient conditions.

Manage proper segregation and disposal of medical waste from project sites.

Ensure strict adherence to QHSE policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science (BNSC), with valid registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably within the oil and gas sector.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of nursing care, drug administration, and medical equipment use.

Excellent emergency response and triage skills.

Strong attention to detail, leadership ability, and teamwork mindset.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural awareness skills.

Ability to uphold infection control protocols and promote health education.

Competence in computer use and documentation management.
