We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position below:


Job Title: Support Staff

Location: Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Duration: 12 Months (Renewal subject to performance and available funding)
Work Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Reports To: Supply and Logistics Officer
Start Date: January 1, 2026
Position Status: National


Job Purpose

The Support Staff will be responsible for daily cleaning, hygiene management, and basic office assistance at the EU-SUSI Project Office in Kebbi State. The role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, partners, and guests while supporting operational and administrative needs of the office.


Key Responsibilities

Office Cleaning & Hygiene

  • Clean offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, restrooms, corridors, and common areas daily.

  • Ensure toilets are always clean and stocked with toiletries.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the office premises and surrounding compound.

  • Dust and wipe furniture, surfaces, doors, windows, and office equipment.

  • Sweep, mop, disinfect floors, and empty/clean waste bins regularly.

Facility Management & Support

  • Monitor and replenish cleaning materials, toiletries, drinking water, and consumables.

  • Assist in arranging meeting rooms for events, trainings, and official visits.

  • Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and tools.

  • Report repairs such as leaks, damaged fixtures, or plumbing issues.

Administrative Assistance

  • Support visitor reception and direct guests when required.

  • Assist with errands such as photocopying, filing, scanning, and moving items.

  • Support office security by ensuring adherence to facility access rules.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with all Oxfam safety, security, and safeguarding standards.

  • Help maintain a hazard-free office by clearing spills, clutter, and unsafe materials.

  • Attend hygiene and safety briefings or trainings when required.

  • Use and store cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.

Other Duties

  • Provide additional support to the Supply & Logistics Officer as needed.

  • Maintain a respectful and professional attitude towards colleagues, partners, and visitors.

  • Adhere to Oxfam policies including Code of Conduct, Gender Policy, and Safeguarding Standards.


Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or ability to read and write.

  • At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial work (preferred).

  • Physically capable of performing manual cleaning and lifting tasks.

  • Trustworthy, disciplined, and able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Basic knowledge of hygiene, safety, and cleaning practices.

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and interact respectfully with others.

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper handling of cleaning materials.

  • Grade Level: F1

  • Annual Gross Salary: ₦2,416,341.00
