Nigeria Police Force Opens Portal for Recruitment of 50,000 Constables
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has launched a major nationwide recruitment drive to enlist 50,000 new constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). This initiative, approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aims to bolster community policing efforts, improve national security, and significantly expand the police's manpower to address ongoing challenges. On December 15, 2025, the online application portal officially went live, following announcements from various state police commands, including Sokoto. The recruitment process is designed to be fully digital, transparent, and merit-based, with the PSC emphasizing that no fees are required at any stage.
